Delivery by Christmas 2020!

Christmas Day is Friday, December 25

Our Christmas Shipping Schedule
We will be shipping Limoges boxes from now through 12:00 noon CST December 24!  Realistically, if you need a gift delivered by Christmas, don't hesitate... we're selling out quickly and there are only -1378 days until Christmas. This page applies mainly to Limoges boxes marked "Express Delivery Available".  When it becomes too late to order boxes marked "ships in 7-10 days" for Christmas delivery, we will add "Delivery After Christmas" to the notice.  Personalized boxes can take up to a week to have done, so consider that timeframe as we get close to Christmas.

For our international customers, be aware that our International air mail and International Priority Mail can take 15 business days or more to arrive.  This varies greatly due to processing through Customs, over which we have no control.  Best advice: order as early as possible!  We can use US Postal Service International Express shipping on request, but it is very expensive and the package still may be delayed by Customs.  Contact us if you'd like an International Express mail shipping quote.

For our customers in the US (including AK and HI):

National FREE SHIPPING DAY is Monday, Dec. 14.  All in-stock US orders placed on Dec. 14 will arrive in time for Christmas! Just select the "Free Shipping" option when you checkout.  Of course we offer free shipping to our US customers all the time, so EVERY DAY is Free Shipping Day (but after Dec. 14, delivery by Christmas is not guaranteed using free shipping).

2020 Postal Slowdown Warning - We have experienced an extreme slowdown in delivery of our First Class (free shipping) packages. Some packages this summer took 12 days to arrive to places that took 3-4 days in the past.  This slowdown is REAL and very unfortunate as we've always been proud of our free shipping option.  This year, we do not recommend using our free shipping for orders placed after Dec. 14. Sorry!

Using Priority Mail shipping - orders placed by Saturday morning, December 19 should be delivered in the US before Christmas Eve.  The post office does not "guarantee" this however, and every year a few boxes get delivered after Christmas.  This is particularly true if your carrier does not leave the box at your residence, but instead leaves a "pickup" note.  We have no control over this, unfortunately.  In the shopping cart, you can add to your address line "Please leave at residence" and we will include it on the shipping label.  This improves your odds, but still doesn't guarantee that it will be left!

Using Priority Mail with Signature Confirmation - this (almost) assures you that the package will not be left if no one is home to sign for it.  This can get tricky during the days before Christmas, so use it at your own discretion.

Using Priority Mail Express - Orders placed by Tuesday, December 22 at 2:00 PM central time will go into the mail that day, and should be delivered by Christmas Eve.  Priority Mail Express is generally 1 day service to most of the country, and 2 day service to smaller towns and rural areas - but please consider the volume of mail the USPS handles during that time... even Priority Mail Express can go awry and be delivered after Christmas.  We can use "Waiver of Signature Requested" if you request it in your address line or in the special instructions in the shopping cart.  That should, but doesn't always, result in the package being left at the residence.  Again, it's ultimately up to your carrier's discretion.  We will notify you via email if your Priority Mail Express order cannot be delivered by Christmas Eve with the option to cancel your order.

Packages left at residence - in the past couple of years, media reports of theft of packages off of porches and at mailboxes have increased dramatically, with thieves tailing delivery drivers to find their next target.  If this is a possibility at your address, you may want to consider adding "Signature Confirmation" to your shipping instructions.  Alternatively you may include a preferred place to leave your package in the "Special Instructions" box of the shopping cart during checkout.  Ultimately it will be at the discretion of your carrier whether (and where) he leaves your package.

Once we put a package into the mail stream, we have absolutely no control over it.  This sounds pretty obvious but you'd be surprised how many desperate people think we have some power over the post office!  It's never pleasant to tell our customers "I'm sorry, there's nothing we can do" so please plan accordingly.  Upgrade your shipping to Priority Mail Express if you're not comfortable with standard Priority Mail.  It's more expensive, but reducing your anxiety may be worth it!

For our part, we'll do everything we can to get your packages out in time, and we will send you email with the tracking number.  Make sure you give us an email address that you will check!  And check your spam email folders - sometimes our mail gets routed as "spam". If you don't see our email, you could miss a "we couldn't ship it" notice!

Let's hope everything will work out perfectly and all of our customers will be happy.  In fact, that's a great sentiment for this time of year!  We wish you all the very best of the holidays, and a wonderful New Year 2021!
