Facts About
Limoges Boxes
Every Limoges box is a hand crafted work of
art. Small imperfections are natural and are part of their charm and
uniqueness. The photograph shown is of representative samples of the Limoges
box. The colors, brush strokes, clasps, and other details may vary with each individual
piece, sometimes significantly. This may be exaggerated by the
differences in color on different computer systems and monitors.
Because of this, the box being sold will not match the photograph exactly.
Measurements are approximated to the nearest quarter inch.
Limoges
boxes are marked to indicate the level of hand painting. Peint Main
or Decor Main means the box is completely hand painted. Boxes marked
Rehausse Main have been decorated with a combination of transfer painting
and hand painting. The initials/marks on the bottom of each box will
sometimes vary since we acquire our boxes through many different sources,
but the degree of hand painting will always be consistent among samples of

Inventory Status
Our shopping cart provides information on the status of each Limoges box in our inventory, updated daily. Inventory status
will be one of the following:

IN STOCK - Express delivery available
Item is in the warehouse in Austin. If Express Mail delivery is purchased, item will be delivered within one to three business days. For Priority Mail shipments, item should be
delivered within one to seven business days (the USPS does not guarantee Priority Mail delivery times).

IN STOCK - Usually ships in 3-5 days
Item is on its way to Austin for shipment. If Express Mail delivery is purchased, item will be delivered within two to six business days. For Priority Mail shipments, item should be
delivered within four to eight business days (the USPS does not guarantee Priority Mail delivery times).

Usually ships in 7-10 days
Item is not in our warehouse but should be available through our suppliers in time for us to ship in 7-10 business days. Express Mail delivery is not recommended in
this case unless you need it as quickly as possible after the delay. Sometimes, our suppliers may be out of stock, in which case we will notify you and cancel your order unless you request
for it to be placed on backorder.

May not be in stock in the US
Item is not in our warehouse and may not be in stock with our supplier. You may place an order for the item and it will be placed on backorder (your credit card will
not be charged). We will contact the supplier as soon as possible and let you know the expected delivery date - you can then confirm or cancel your order. Sometimes, our supplier may actually have the box in stock but didn't notify us, so our status is out of date. Sometimes, too, our supplier may have
retired the box, in which case we will cancel your order and notify you.

Item is retired and is no longer available
Item has sold out and is no longer available through our suppliers. The item will be removed from our web site shortly.
We never charge credit cards until we ship your Limoges box, unless the order is for a personalized box, where we must charge for
the item prior to having it personalized. In rare cases, an item may have sold out (or come back in stock) between updates of the inventory, in which case the status may be inaccurate.
Payment Methods
We accept checks, money orders, VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. For new customers, items purchased with checks and non-USPS money orders may be held for 10 business days to clear. 8.25% Texas
sales tax will be charged on all orders shipped to a Texas address.
Shipping
FREE Super Saver shipping is available for customers in the US. Shipping is through the US Postal Service with tracking, which we will
email to you when your label is printed. Shipping must be done in batches so it may take up to an additional 4-8 days to ship.
Shipping is $9.00 for US Postal Service Priority Mail in the US.
We ship these packages daily and most Priority Mail packages are delivered within a week after ordering for items shown as "In Stock - Express Shipping Available." The USPS provides
a tracking number, which we will email to you on the day your package is mailed.
For an additional charge ($2.50), we will request Signature Confirmation for your Priority Mail shipment. With this option,
the postal carrier will require a signature from someone at the shipping address, and will not leave the package at the residence. This provides increased protection against misdelivery and
stolen or lost shipments, but will delay delivery if no one is available to sign.
For rush delivery in the US, we use US Postal Service Priority Express Mail, which is $35.00. Express Mail provides next-day service
(including Saturday delivery) to most US locations, and 2 day service to the rest of the
country. For items shown as "Express delivery available", Express Mail orders will be mailed no later than the
next business day. The USPS guarantees delivery of Express Mail by
3:00 PM local time on the second day following mailing (except Sunday). A refund of
the Express Mail fee may be requested at your local post office if this schedule is not met, subject
to certain restrictions as outlined in the USPS service guide. We will email your Express Mail tracking number on the day your package is
mailed.
All
shipments are insured for the full amount of the sale. Local
practices vary, but in most places, the USPS will require a signature for
delivery of the item. If a box is returned to us as undeliverable
through no fault of ours, an additional shipping charge will be required
before the box is re-mailed.
We can ship orders via UPS or FedEx with special arrangement. Shipping fees are substantially higher than our USPS rates, and
will be quoted via email upon request.
How to Order
We use a
"shopping cart" system for orders. To begin an order, simply click
the
Add to Cart button by the item you wish to order. You may then
proceed to check out, or continue shopping. To check out, follow the
instructions on the Check Out page.
If you
continue shopping, you may check out at any time by clicking on the
View Cart logo at the top of each page. On the check out page,
you can review, modify, or cancel your order.

experience any problems using the Shopping Cart, please
contact us! You may also
call our 24-hour Order Line (512) 418-0072 at any time to leave your order on our voicemail. Our voicemail is secure, so it
is safe to leave credit card information on it. Please note that discounts and sale prices are only available to orders made online. Phone orders are processed by an order service, so no
discounts or sale prices are available to phone orders.
Purchasing from Outside the USA
We welcome orders
from customers located outside the United States. Visa, MasterCard,
American Express and Discover orders can be placed normally using the Shopping Cart.
When checking out, select your preferred mail class (Air Mail, Priority Mail, or Express Mail) to Canada or to International addresses other than Canada.
The charge will be as shown in the shopping cart. Priority Mail is a faster service, and Express Mail is the fastest service for international destinations. The Customs form
required by the Post Office will be filled out with exact prices paid for
the items ordered. Any import taxes, fees, and duties are your responsibility even if a box is returned to us.
For
countries where insured delivery service is not available through the US
Postal Service, we will email you further instructions before we mail the
package.
Pricing and Sales Policy
Limoges box
prices are variable and may go up or down as we restock. We try to offer
competitive prices and we occasionally have newsletter or site wide sales, in addition to our "Today Only" sale page.
If you made a purchase within 3 days prior to a sale, just contact us
before the sale is over and we will give you credit towards a future
purchase. This does not apply to our "Today Only" sale page or sales designated as "one day only" - only orders placed that day will receive the sale price.
Pricing errors: technology and humans are apt to make errors occasionally. If a price error occurs in an order (generally a price that is substantially lower or higher than what would be
expected) we will notify you by email that we will cancel your order. We do not honor orders with price errors.
Catalog and Special Orders
We can special order most current production Limoges boxes from importer catalogs.
If you have a particular box that you are interested in from Artoria,
Chamart, Chanille, Dubarry, Rochard or other supplier, contact us
with the item number or reference and we will do our best to obtain it for
you. Please note that in rare cases, special orders may take as long
as 3 months to arrive. By placing a special order you agree that this
potential delay is acceptable and, unless you specifically cancel the order
(subject to a cancellation fee described below) the order will remain
active until shipped.
A
non-refundable deposit of 15% of the cost of the special order item(s) will
be charged when the order is placed, with the remainder charged when the
order is shipped. There are no
exchanges on special
order items. Returns are accepted but are subject to a 15% restocking
fee (forfeiture of deposit) if returned within 15 days of receipt; 25% from
16 to 30 days of receipt.
No returns accepted after 30 days; no exceptions!
The deposit will be forfeited if a catalog or special order is cancelled
before delivery. Please consider these terms before
placing an order.
Returns and
Exchanges
Undamaged
items may be returned for any reason for up to 15 days after receipt, not
including special orders, personalized items, or any item marked
"final sale".
Pack the item
carefully, including the gift box and certificate of authenticity.

We would
appreciate it if you would contact us to let us
know it's coming. When the item arrives safely, we will credit your
credit card or mail you a refund check for the purchase price of the item.
Shipping costs are not refundable. If the return included free shipping or other incentive, the original
shipping or incentive value will be deducted from your refund. A
10% charge will be made if the original gift box and/or certificate of
authenticity is not returned.
A 15% restocking fee will be charged for returns shipped later than 15
days after receipt.
Undamaged
items (not including special orders, personalized items, or any item marked "final sale") may be exchanged for items of equal or greater value for up to 30
days after receipt. Please contact us if
you wish to exchange an item. We will email you with further
instructions.
If a return
or exchange item arrives damaged, we will process a claim with the carrier
you used, indicating that the claim should be paid to you. In this
case, no credit or refund will be provided by us. If you
have elected not to insure the package, then no claim can be made and no
credit will be given. If you request, we will return the damaged item to you at our normal Priority Mail shipping price.
We photograph and invisibly mark all our boxes. No credit will be given for any returns that did not come from us.
All
sales are final after 30 days. No credit will be given for returns received after that time. We make no exceptions to this.
Damage in Shipping
We are very
sorry if your item was damaged in shipping. We take great pains to
insure that our Limoges boxes are well protected during shipment.
Rest assured that they are inspected before leaving our store, and that
they are in perfect condition when they are shipped. We videotape our
packing operation for quality assurance.
But damage
can occur. Limoges boxes are very fragile items, and if the box has
been subjected to a severe shock, the box can be broken. That
is why we insure every box that we mail.
The
procedure to file a claim depends on the shipping method used. Please
save all of the packaging and contact us
to report the damage. We will email you with further instructions,
and will replace the item after the claim is filed. DO NOT
return broken items to us at GroundStrike Collectibles! We cannot
initiate your claim, and this will either delay or void your claim for a
refund (in other words, you will be stuck with a broken item!).
